About 12 Etudes
Some
years ago I got some problems with my right hand, and I had
difficulties especially playing arpeggios. So instead I worked on my
picking technique. And I decided to compose some etudes playable, either
with the fingers or with a pick. With these pieces, I'd like to address
both the classical guitar players and the jazz and rock players. These
pieces are playable on acoustic or electric guitar. It is up to you to
find the best sound with your instruments and your ears. The unavoidable
Modern Etudes for the classical guitar are those composed by Heitor
Villa-Lobos and Leo Brouwer. I hope to be a worthy successor of these
masters whom I love. And I am looking forward to writing, even more,
etudes in the future.
